Sant Sai Satramdas Saheb’s arrival on earth was a blessing for all living beings. He would bestow blessings upon all those who came to him, and even those who couldn’t visit him were still blessed by his loving care and compassion for every living being.

Amidst a water scarcity and other natural issues, a crop shortage led to a market crisis where prices skyrocketed, making basic necessities unaffordable for the poor. In response, Sant Sai Satramdas Saheb arranged for the distribution of food and other essential supplies at Sant Satram Dham to help those in need

During the challenging period of crop shortage and market inflation, Sant Sai Satramdas Saheb provided food and other necessities to the poor and needy at Sant Satram Dham. People in need would come to eat there, and he encouraged others to serve and help each other without expecting any financial gain. He also urged the traders to sell food items at lower prices to ensure that everyone had access to basic needs and could satisfy their hunger.

Sant Sai Satramdas Saheb emphasised that hoarding food and necessities during difficult times for monetary gain is unethical and robs people of their basic rights and happiness.

An honest earning may bring little monetary profit, but it brings abundant blessings and happiness from God. However, those who chase after monetary gain through unethical means will be deprived of God’s grace. Inspired by Sant Satramdas Saheb’s teachings, everyone began helping others. But one follower, a shrewd businessman named Sadhumal, known for his market savvy, succumbed to bad advice from a friend.

Sadhumal, a prominent businessman known for his business acumen, had a reputation for driving up prices whenever he entered the market. Despite this, he was known for his generosity towards the poor and had been instructed by Sant Satramdas to assist those in need. However, a misguided friend advised him to prioritize his profits during a time of scarcity and not to concern himself with the suffering of others.

Consumed by greed, Sadhumal began purchasing large quantities of food stocks, causing the prices to soar and making it nearly impossible for the poor to afford basic necessities like cereals and grains.

Despite people’s requests and even Sant Satramdas Saheb’s advice to stop his unethical actions, Sadhumal continued to hoard the stock and make exorbitant profits. Sant Satramdas Saheb reminded Sadhumal that true selfless service involves helping others during difficult times and that those who do so are blessed by the Lord in ways that benefit not only them but also their future generations.

Sadly, Sadhumal allowed his greed and ego to blind him, ignoring Sant Satramdas Saheb’s honest advice. Believing that the situation was in his favour to make a lot of money, he continued to take advantage of the situation and wanted people to recognise his worth.

Despite Sant Satramdas Saheb’s repeated attempts to make Sadhumal understand the importance of serving others during difficult times, Sadhumal’s greed and ego blinded him. He believed that since the situation was favorable for him to make a lot of money, he continued hoarding food in his godown and wanted people to recognize his worth. Despite the Shehenshah Satguru Sai Satramdas Saheb’s advice that one who brings happiness to others gets closer to the Lord, and that the Lord may ignore a person who does not serve others, Sadhumal could not see the divine light of bliss. He even claimed that God had ignored the poor people who were dying of hunger, and saw no reason to stop hoarding food.

Sant Satramdas Sahib rebuked Sadhumal for his negative attitude towards the poor and urged him to utilise the opportunity bestowed upon him by the Lord for the greater good. Sant Satramdas reminded Sadhumal that God has the power to transform the worst situation into the best and bring happiness to the ones who are suffering. The divine secrets of his power are beyond human comprehension.

Sant Satramdas Saheb granted Sadhumal one week to rectify the situation, but when he persisted with his unethical behaviour, Sant Satramdas Saheb opened the doors of Sant Satram Dham to provide aid and support to the poor and needy people.

Sadhumal’s greed and arrogance led him to waste the entire week granted to him by Sant Satramdas Saheb, despite the warning of a possible divine intervention. As a result, a miraculous change occurred, and traders who had earlier hoarded food stocks started selling them at lower prices, and many came forward to help the poor by selling at affordable rates. The market prices plummeted, causing Sadhumal to incur heavy losses and go into serious debt, unable to sell his hoarded stock at the rate he had bought it.

After incurring heavy losses and going into serious debt, Sadhumal sought help from others, but to no avail. Even his own relatives refused to help and expressed their shame towards him. The same people who were once by his side during his prosperous days did not show any compassion towards his tears.

After being rejected by everyone, Sadhumal realised that only Sant Satramdas Saheb could help him. He went to Sai Satramdas Sahib, fell at his feet, and confessed that he was in such a bad situation because he did not follow Saijan’s true advice, and asked for forgiveness.

With a smile, Sant Satramdas Saheb told Sadhumal that those who give generously will receive abundance from the Lord, but those who take from others will have it taken back from them in even greater measure. Sadhumal wept at his feet and asked for forgiveness. Sant Satramdas Saheb comforted him by saying that true repentance is the way to gain the blessings of God.

Sant Satramdas Saheb summoned all of Sadhumal’s creditors and advised them not to trouble him anymore, as Sadhumal had reformed and would repay his debts. The creditors respectfully agreed to Sant Satramdas Sahib’s request.

Sant Satramdas Saheb blessed Sadhumal with the sacred Naam Daan and he repented for his past mistakes. Soon, his good days returned and he became a successful businessman who wholeheartedly helped the poor and needy. He set aside a percentage of his profits to regularly donate at Sant Satram Dham and remained connected with Sant Satramdas Saheb through Naam Simran.

Sacho Satram.
