while going for one of his bhakti programs, Shahanshah Satguru Sant Sai Satramdas Sahib witnessed a group of individuals cutting down trees for mere entertainment, feeling a sense of pride in their actions.

Upon approaching them, the people became uneasy and humbly approached him for his blessings. However, they were unable to provide a satisfactory explanation for their actions.

Sant Sai Satramdas Sahib proceeded to educate these individuals about the interconnectedness of trees to all living beings. Not only are trees beneficial to humans, but also to birds, animals, and insects.

He further explained that trees offer shelter and nourishment to all who seek refuge in their shade, and provide tasty fruits and nuts to quell the hunger of all living creatures.

Sant Sai Satramdas Sahib taught that a person can achieve great heights if they adopt even one quality of humility from the trees. The tree that bears the most fruit bows down in gratitude towards the ground.

Sant Sai Satramdas Sahib emphasised that as people achieve success in their lives, they should remain humble and kind, avoiding arrogance and bringing joy to those who have not treated them well. This is because God has blessed them with the virtues of gratitude and compassion toward everyone. To ensure the well-being and security of their future generations, people should preserve trees that provide shelter to humans, birds, and animals from the elements and from their predators. Trees support various animals, such as squirrels and insects, and many animals are born, raise their young, and find food in trees. We often observe birds building nests in the green branches of trees, enjoying the cool shade they offer. Trees provide comfort and blessings to millions of creatures by providing them with a home. Even the tiniest creatures find a place to live among the branches of trees.

We can learn from trees that we should provide shelter and take care of the less fortunate, such as the poor, orphans, and widows.

Sant Sai Satramdas Sahib explained that trees inhale carbon dioxide, a harmful gas for the environment, and give us life-saving oxygen. This teaches us that we may face disappointments despite our good deeds, but we should never forget to be grateful to God and provide comfort to others because all living beings in the universe are interdependent and interconnected.

Trees are blessed by the beloved Lord for their amazing qualities and for providing life to everyone. Regions with an abundance of trees are rarely affected by natural disasters and famine as there is no scarcity of water or lack of rainfall, and the land is always green.

With plenty of trees, there is ample rainfall, fertile soil, and greenery everywhere. This fertile soil allows for abundant food crops to grow, making humans, birds, and animals happy and prosperous.

Trees are divine blessings that should never be cut down or uprooted. Each tree is home to millions of creatures and their presence benefits the entire world and helps keep the atmosphere and environment clean.

When we cut even one tree, we are guilty of destroying the homes of millions of creatures and the negative impact on the environment is a curse on all of us. Instead, we should plant trees to provide homes for millions of creatures. Small bushes and branches are a source of food for many birds and animals. In mountainous and desert regions, small herbs and shrubs can cure dangerous diseases in humans and animals.

In desert regions, these herbs and shrubs contain water and food, which sustains people, animals, birds, and insects. The branches, leaves, flowers, and fruits of trees provide food that promotes good health and freshness. They are divine gifts to living beings.

We should make every effort to grow trees instead of destroying them, which would benefit all living beings. This will result in prosperity for all humanity.

After receiving the valuable teachings of Shahanshah Satguru Sant Sai Satramdas Sahib, the people who were cutting the trees humbly bowed down to him and begged for forgiveness. They made a solemn promise never to cut down or destroy trees again and instead, to grow them.

Sant Sai Satramdas Sahib declared that the effort to grow more trees would bring lush greenery to the land, which would be soothing to everyone’s eyes. The blessings of God would always be bestowed upon such a land, and due to such a noble act, all living beings would thrive and prosper.

Sacho Satram.
