Once, a man arrived with his family to seek blessings for his son from Shahanshah Satguru Sai Satramdas Saheb. He expressed his concern to Saijan about his son’s involvement in negative behaviors and association with troublesome friends. The father lamented that his son displayed unkind behavior towards others and humbly implored Saijan to bestow his blessings upon the troubled young man.

Saijan gazed at the young man, who then shared his inner struggle. He confessed that despite his best efforts, he couldn’t free himself from his vices. He revealed that his inner conscience had become tainted and darkened, leading to malevolent intentions, negative thoughts, and a critical view of others.

The young man acknowledged that his obnoxious mind had severely impacted his thoughts and actions. He admitted to making sporadic attempts to restrain himself from engaging in wrongful activities, only to find himself succumbing to temptation within a day or two. Despairingly, he confided in Shahanshah Satguru that he felt utterly out of control, his mind so polluted that clear thinking seemed impossible.
Saijan chuckled as he listened to the boy and instructed him to fetch some twigs and bamboo sticks. The boy promptly gathered the materials and returned to Saijan. Saijan then directed him to ignite a fire with them. With determination, the boy lit the fire, and at that moment, Shahanshah Satguru Sai Satramdas Sahib asked the boy to fetch some water to extinguish the flames.

The boy wasted no time and began to head towards the source of water. Saijan inquired about where he intended to find the water. In response, the boy stated that he was going to fetch clean water to put out the fire.

Saijan then advised the boy to obtain water for extinguishing the fire from the nearby drain, even though it contained dirty water. Without any objections, the boy collected water from the drain and promptly used it to extinguish the fire.

Saijan emphasized the vital importance of water, describing it as the essence of life. He pointed out that our ability to enjoy a clean, pure, and high-quality life is closely connected to the presence of water. He also noted that, even when water becomes contaminated, it retains the remarkable ability to quench fires.

Saijan Said that Even when our minds experience temporary pollution, through unwavering dedication, inner strength, faith, self-awareness, and sincere efforts, we possess the power to restore it to a state of purity and sanctity.

Moved by Saijan’s profound and genuine wisdom, and inspired by the compelling illustration of how the mind can be mended and fortified, the man who had sought blessings for his son, along with the son, humbly prostrated themselves at the revered feet of Shahanshah Satguru Sai Satramdas Saheb.

Saijan bestowed his blessings upon them, and the transformation in the boy was nothing short of remarkable. His negative habits underwent a complete metamorphosis, giving way to virtuous and commendable qualities, leading him to embrace a life of virtue.
