Sant Sai Satramdas Sahib undertook long periods of meditation.

He was a great Sant, an enlightened yogi, who was completely aware of his own divineness since his birth.

He would spend hours together into deep and intense meditation, away from this materialistic world and even away from his own body. Once in the wee hours when Sai Satramdas Sahib was into deep meditation, some of his devotees observed that some parts of Shehenshah Satguru’s body were lying detached. The devotees were amazed by that sight, they started shivering and fell unconscious out of fear and nervousness as they could not believe their eyes. In the morning when they woke up, they saw Shehenshah Satguru Sai Satram das Sahib sitting with his devotees, they went and bowed down at his feet, and narrated all what they had witnessed in the night.

Shehnshah Satguru Sai Satramdas Sahib lovingly looked at them and told them that he was meditating during those ambrosial hours and what those devotees saw was a level in Yoga when during deep meditation a person who is meditating becomes one with the Lord.

Most of the time Sai Satramdas Sahib would spend in meditation. When Shehenshah Sai Satramdas Sahib would sit for Naam, Dhyana, Simran, the people sitting around him for meditation would also get fully absorbed in deep meditation.

Sacho Satram.
